GivingTuesday Resources for Churches

Free kits from 10 church giving platforms

GivingTuesday is Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
Last checked: November 3, 2026

GivingTuesday 2026 is Tuesday, December 1, and most church giving platforms already have a free kit waiting for you. This page gathers GivingTuesday resources for churches in one place. It links straight to each church giving platform's own toolkit, templates, or guide, so you don't have to dig through help centers.

Every platform below shows what's in its kit, which year the content is for, and whether you need to sign up to get it. A few are written for 2026. Others are from last year, and I say so. They still make a good head start: swap in this year's date and numbers and you're most of the way there.

I publish The Church Office, a weekly email of practical tech help for small church staff and volunteers. This page goes with my post Your Giving App Already Has a GivingTuesday Kit.

GivingTuesday kits, platform by platform

ACS Technologies (Realm) GivingTuesday toolkit

ACS Technologies, the company behind Realm, offers a free toolkit with files you can open and edit. Here is the ACS Technologies GivingTuesday toolkit.

  • What's included: a generosity prayer guide (PDF), a campaign planning spreadsheet (Excel), announcement templates (Word), and links to official GivingTuesday logos and Canva templates.
  • Content year: no date on the page.
  • Free or sign-up: the page mentions a form, but the download buttons link straight to the files, so it may be open.
  • Backup link: ACS Technologies free downloads.

My take: This is the only kit I found with real Word and Excel files you can edit. The page never says you need Realm to use it.

Anedot year-end donation page checklist

This is a checklist for your giving page, not a campaign kit. Open the Anedot year-end donation page checklist.

  • What's included: a 14-step checklist for your giving page and form, a timeline, a section for churches, and an FAQ.
  • Content year: 2026 (published October 27, 2026).
  • Free or sign-up: free to read. The page mentions guide downloads that I could not confirm.
  • Backup link: Anedot blog.

My take: Not a kit, but worth doing before December 1. If your giving page is hard to use on a phone, no email template will fix that.

Donorbox GivingTuesday for churches guide

Donorbox is a general nonprofit tool, but it wrote a church-specific guide. Read the Donorbox GivingTuesday for churches guide.

  • What's included: a 7-step church plan, a campaign checklist, example churches, and a link to a free appeals guide. A separate Donorbox 2026 GivingTuesday checklist is also available.
  • Content year: 2026 (updated August 18, 2026).
  • Free or sign-up: the blog posts are open. Downloads in the Donorbox library ask you to fill out a form.
  • Backup link: Donorbox Library.

My take: The plan is current and plain-spoken. It's useful even if you never use Donorbox.

Givelify GivingTuesday toolkit

Givelify has a toolkit made for congregations. Start with the Givelify GivingTuesday toolkit.

Note: this page is the 2025 toolkit. The plan still works, but change the dates and totals before you use it.

  • What's included: a step-by-step campaign guide, ready-made social posts, email and announcement templates, and tips for your giving page.
  • Content year: 2025.
  • Free or sign-up: the page says "unlock access" and the download buttons use short links. I could not confirm whether an email is required.
  • Backup link: Givelify blog.

My take: It's the most church-specific kit here. It is last year's, so treat it as a head start.

Overflow GivingTuesday article

Overflow has an article rather than a kit. Read Why Giving Tuesday Feels So Meaningful on the Overflow site.

Note: this article was published December 2, 2025, and it mentions last year's timing and statistics.

  • What's included: a short checklist (messaging, giving experience, follow-up) and an FAQ. There are no templates or downloads.
  • Content year: 2025.
  • Free or sign-up: free, no login.
  • Backup link: Overflow Learn.

My take: There's nothing to download. It's helpful if you need to explain to your pastor or board why GivingTuesday is worth the effort.

Pushpay GivingTuesday resources

Pushpay's GivingTuesday material lives on its generosity page. Start at the Pushpay GivingTuesday resources.

Note: the ebook is from 2025, and the blog post with examples is labeled 2024.

  • What's included: a "7 tips" ebook, an infographic, and blog posts. The blog post, Giving Tuesday 2024: Ideas and Campaign Examples, has sample emails, push notices, social posts, and a timeline.
  • Content year: 2025 for the ebook, 2024 for the blog post.
  • Free or sign-up: the page and blog post are open. I could not confirm whether the ebook asks for an email.
  • Backup link: the same Pushpay generosity page.

My take: Good for ideas. Use the examples as a model, not copy-and-paste, since they're from 2024.

Subsplash GivingTuesday templates

Subsplash is the one platform here with a full set written for 2026. See the Subsplash GivingTuesday templates.

My take: It's the most ready-to-use set here. Read each template and check the date before you send it.

Tithe.ly GivingTuesday toolkit for churches

Tithe.ly (also written Tithely) offers a short ebook and an article. Start with the Tithe.ly GivingTuesday toolkit for churches.

  • What's included: a free ebook with 5 reasons to join, 3 campaign steps, 3 storytelling tips, and 2 ways to turn first-time givers into recurring givers. There is also a Tithe.ly 7 GivingTuesday tips article (December 1, 2025).
  • Content year: the ebook has no date and says "this year's." The article is from 2025.
  • Free or sign-up: the ebook likely asks for an email. The article is open.
  • Backup link: Tithe.ly free church resources.

My take: It's a short ebook, not a full kit. It works well for a pastor who wants the big ideas fast. If you use Breeze, it is now part of Tithe.ly.

Vanco Complete Holiday Giving Kit

Vanco's GivingTuesday playbook comes inside a larger holiday kit. Here is the Vanco Complete Holiday Giving Kit.

  • What's included: holiday templates, a GivingTuesday playbook, slides, posters, social graphics, giving data, and a free growth course.
  • Content year: no date on the page. It is likely last year's edition, so check the dates inside.
  • Free or sign-up: you fill out a form to get it.
  • Backup link: Vanco church giving resources. It also has an older how-to post from 2022, Giving Tuesday for Churches, The How-to Guide.

My take: It looks like a lot of material, but it costs you your email address and I couldn't see inside it. Think of it as a holiday kit that includes a GivingTuesday playbook.

Zeffy GivingTuesday templates for churches

Zeffy's templates are short and copy-and-paste. Open the Zeffy GivingTuesday templates for churches.

  • What's included: 3 email templates, 3 social captions, and 6 campaign ideas, each with a copy button. Zeffy also has a general Zeffy GivingTuesday 2026 guide (June 23, 2026).
  • Content year: the templates have no date. The guide is 2026.
  • Free or sign-up: I saw no sign-up wall when copying.
  • Backup link: the Zeffy GivingTuesday 2026 guide.

My take: It's free and quick, and a good fit if you want a few emails and posts without a long kit. Clean up any placeholder text before you use it. Zeffy is a general nonprofit tool, not a church-only one.

Using a platform that isn't listed?

Some popular church platforms don't have a GivingTuesday page of their own. Here is where I would look instead.

How to use these resources

You don't need a big campaign. For a small church, a few simple steps go a long way. My post Your Giving App Already Has a GivingTuesday Kit walks through this in more detail.

  1. Find your giving platform in the table and open its kit. If you use more than one tool, check each one.
  2. Look at the year. If the kit is from a past year, change the date to December 1, 2026 and replace any old totals.
  3. Pick one email, one announcement, and one social post to start. You can add more next year.
  4. Test your giving page on your own phone before you promote it.
  5. Plan your thank-you message now, so it goes out right after the day.

GivingTuesday questions for churches

When is GivingTuesday 2026?

GivingTuesday 2026 is Tuesday, December 1, 2026. It falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the United States. Several of the kits above lay out a timeline that starts a few weeks ahead, so now is a good time to begin.

Does my church need a special account for GivingTuesday?

Usually not. You can use the giving account you already have. Several of the guides above suggest setting up a dedicated fund or giving link for GivingTuesday, so you can see how much came in that day. Ask your platform's support how to set one up, and check that your giving page works on a phone before December 1.

Do I have to be a customer to use these GivingTuesday kits?

Not always. Most of the pages above are open to read. A few ask for an email address before you can download, and I haven't confirmed whether any require you to be a customer. If a download asks for a login, try that platform's backup link, or use the free resources at GivingTuesday.org.

Can I use a GivingTuesday kit from last year?

Yes, as a starting point. The plans in most kits stay about the same from year to year. Change the date to December 1, 2026, replace any old totals or statistics, and read every template before you send it.
